AMAZING RIFLELOVE LOVE LOVE
Best Rifle I’ve ever ownedI had a feeling in March 2020 these would be impossible to find in the near future so I purchased (4) of them to put away in storage. The fit and finish of these Rifles is top notch and well worth the $2000+ price tag (Milspec+ version).
ExceptionalSearched hi and low for the DD M4A1 in the mil spec finish, and after a few months finally found one in Texas and snagged it. This is a finely crafted piece of American hardware. Outfitted it with Troy folding iron sights, an Eotech EXPS3, and G33 magnifier all in desert tan. A bit of a contrast in colors and it grew on me immediately. Once zeroed,100 yard groupings are tight and consistent running American Eagle 5.56 55 grain. Ran flawlessly and without a stumble through the 2000 rounds I’ve put down range thus far. The rails hold the optics snugly and secure, they are machined very consistently along their length on the top, bottom and both sides, facilitating effortless mounting of any quality accessories. The overall balance is comfortable, neutral and facilitates fast position changes utilizing a Frank Proctor two point sling. The collapsible buttstock is solid, detentes properly and provides a positive cheek rest. Fit finish and operation of controls are top notch, the trigger is fluid, consistent in travel, return and set, making it predictable and precise without having to focus on it. This is the fourth DD rifle in my pack and it won’t be the last. Several young range rats have quipped “for half the cost of that M4 you could build a better one”, then I let them run a mag or two through it, and they quickly retract their comment as their envy grows along with a salient respect for excellent craftsmanship and a request to run a few more rounds through it. They are correct in saying you’re paying for a name, that name is Daniel Defense, and that name means a guarantee of high quality, finely crafted precision rifles. As I hold to be true, good ain’t cheap, cheap ain’t good, never has been, never will be!
Daniel Defense M4A1: Best rifle I've owned.I own several AR-15's from entry level to mid range but I recently purchased a Daniel Defense M4A1 after years of wanting one and I couldn’t be happier. The quality and craftsmanship can’t be denied. This is definitely the finest and most well built AR that I've ever owned thus far.
Rock SolidVery impressed with the DD M4 A1, solid feel and flawless operation. Out of the box it just “feels right”. Fairly light weight, well balanced, it is easily manipulated through a range of positions and stances. Carries beautifully with the Proctor Sling. The charging handle pull is smooth and positive through it’s path without a ratchety feel, in fact is smooth as butter. Fit and finish are flawless and tight. Magazines insert and discharge without issue or fuss. Trigger is smooth, positive, consistent and predictable within its travel and it doesn’t stray. The quad pic rails hold all of my mounted accessories (Eotech EXPS3, Geissele BUIS, Streamlight HL-X) firmly and without fail. Have run1000 rounds of American Eagle 55gr .556 Military Grade (AE223M) ammo without a single rejection or issue. Groups are tight (for my ability) and I can obtain 100 yard groupings of 2.5 inches without fuss with Eotech G33 magnification from a non-rested standing position, with the above referenced ammo. Slightly wider groupings with iron sights. A better operator would probably obtain better accuracy as this M4 has capability, beyond mine. Cleaning and maintenance are easy and reassembly is tight and right.
I would highly recommend this model and brand, for anyone considering a high quality factory build. You will not be disappointed with any aspect of this well designed and executed M4. Worth every penny and pennies do matter.
BEST M4 I'VE USEDI'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW FOR MY 'PERFECT' AR15/M4 SETUP. I'VE GONE THROUGH SEVERAL HIGH END MODELS AND FINALLY SETTLED ON THE M4A1, WHICH, I KNEW SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY FIRST CHOICE BUT THEY ARE HARD TO FIND IN STOCK. I LOVE THIS GUN. RECOIL, FEEL, WEIGHT, LOOKS, ACTION.. ALL TOP NOTCH. I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT SHOOTING THIS RIFLE IS SO EASY.. FOR A CIVILIAN M4 SETUP THIS IS YOUR BEST BET.
Just picked one upJust picked mine up yesterday. Hands down the best M-4 I’ve ever handled and I’m a War Veteran. A-1 build quality and feels like an extension of my body. Couldn’t be happier! RIS II hand guard is second to none. A true Battle Rifle ready for war!
Made the right decisionYesterday, I bought one of the last pieces available in my country for the near future. My feeling about the purchase? I got exactly what i expected and more. But I have to admit that the price took me a while to go for the rifle. Even more because there was only one left in "Mil Spec +". Well, let me describe it like this. I'm a lucky owner of a SIG P210-2 9mm pistol. Maybe one when not the most beautiful crafted semi-automatic handgun ever produced. This beautifully crafted rifle also is second to none.
FUN FUN FUNI was a little disappointed in the beginning with the chambering. It just kept misfeeding.i actually put it away for years. Then I purchase steal mags for it and every week I can't wait to shoot it again!!! Can't go wrong! I chose the MIL SPEC+ and I just love it!
Worth every pennyThis is by far the best AR I’ve put my hands on. I purchased my M4A1 this past summer after years of wanting one and I couldn’t be happier. The quality and craftsmanship can’t be denied! I’ve put a wide variety of ammo through it and it just slings it out no problem. I’m up to about 4,500 rounds.
