The Daniel Defense AR-15 Iron Sight Set is built from the highest quality aircraft grade aluminum and will never let you down. Unlike our belief in the fact “all men are created equal,” AR-15 sights are not. Accuracy and usability depend on quality sights. Consisting of the A1.5 Fixed Rear Sight and Rail-Mounted Fixed Front Sight, this iron sight set will provide a lifetime of service. The A1.5 Fixed Rear Site makes the optimum back-up sight for shooters using today’s most popular reflex optics. The Rail Mounted Fixed Front Sight makes it unobtrusive and snag-free, and allows the operator to facilitate the use of compact weapon-lights forward of the sight, such as the X300, TLR-1, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Daniel Defense PCC?

The Daniel Defense PCC is a premium 9mm pistol caliber carbine built to deliver smooth operation, familiar AR-style handling, and the performance standards shooters expect from Daniel Defense.

What caliber is the DD PCC?

9MM

What sets the Daniel Defense PCC apart?

The Daniel Defense PCC combines fully ambidextrous controls, a cold hammer-forged barrel, premium receiver materials, a direct-blowback operating system, and a hydraulic buffer to create an exceptionally smooth shooting experience.

Is the DD PCC easy to shoot?

Yes. The DD PCC was engineered to reduce felt recoil and support fast, confident follow-up shots, making it a capable and approachable option for a wide range of shooters.

What magazines does the Daniel Defense PCC use?

The DD PCC is designed to accept CZ Scorpion-pattern magazines and features a proprietary push-button magazine release.

Which Daniel Defense PCC should I choose?

Choose the DD PCC 916 for a full-size 16-inch configuration, or the DD PCC Pistol or SBR for a more compact 8.3-inch setup, depending on your intended use and all applicable laws.

What is the difference between DD4 and DDM4 rifles?

The main split is that DD4 rifles are the more premium, more ambidextrous branch, while DDM4 rifles are the classic lineup that many buyers already know well.DD4 rifles emphasize a fully ambidextrous lower and newer premium rail configurations.DDM4 rifles generally use more traditional lower controls and include popular legacy configurations. Both lines share Daniel Defense barrel quality, materials, and overall build standards.

What is the difference between the DDM4 V7 and DDM4 V9?

The easiest way to separate these two rifles is by rail style. The DDM4 V7 is the M-LOK option for shooters who want lighter weight and modern accessory attachment. The DDM4 V9 is the quad-rail option for shooters who prefer a classic full-rail setup. Both sit in the same broader Daniel Defense family, but the handguard feel and accessory strategy are different.

What is the difference between the DD4 RIII and DDM4 V7?

According to Daniel Defense, both rifles are close in core performance, but the DD4 RIII adds a fully ambidextrous lower and a RIS III rail, while the DDM4 V7 uses the longer MFR rail and a more traditional lower.Choose the DD4 RIII if fully ambidextrous controls are a priority.Choose the DDM4 V7 if you want a lighter package, more front-end rail space, and a lower price point. Both are quality general-purpose rifles built around Daniel Defense cold hammer forged barrels.

Is there a DD4 equivalent to the DDM4 V9?

There is not a perfect one-to-one match in name alone. The better comparison is to choose by feature set: if you want the DD4 family, look for the premium ambidextrous lower and updated rail system first, then compare barrel length and intended role against the DDM4 V9.

What does RIII mean on Daniel Defense rifles?

RIII refers to Daniel Defense's RIS III rail system family. It builds on the brand's SOCOM-inspired rail heritage while adding M-LOK compatibility and pairing that system with a premium, fully ambidextrous lower in the DD4 family.

Which Daniel Defense rifles are fully ambidextrous?

Daniel Defense's DD4 family is the easiest place to look if full ambidextrous operation is a priority. Those rifles are built around a fully ambidextrous lower that gives left- and right-handed shooters easier access to the bolt catch, magazine release, and safety controls.

Which Daniel Defense rifles use an ambidextrous lower?

Daniel Defense's DD4 family is the easiest place to look if full ambidextrous operation is a priority. Those rifles are built around a fully ambidextrous lower that gives left- and right-handed shooters easier access to the bolt catch, magazine release, and safety controls.

What is the difference between Mil Spec and Mil Spec+ finishes?

MIL SPEC+ is best understood as a finish and appearance option rather than a completely different operating system. When comparing two otherwise similar rifles, focus first on the barrel length, rail, controls, and muzzle setup, then choose the finish you prefer.

What is the difference between a quad rail and M-LOK on Daniel Defense rifles?

The choice comes down to feel, weight, and accessory style.Quad rails offer full-length Picatinny space and a classic duty-rifle feel.M-LOK rails usually save weight and let you add accessory sections only where needed. If you already own Picatinny accessories, a quad rail may be simpler. If you want a lighter rifle, M-LOK is usually the better fit.

Which Daniel Defense rifle should I choose if I want a 14.5-inch barrel?

A 14.5-inch Daniel Defense rifle can be a strong middle ground between handling and ballistic performance, but buyers should pay close attention to whether the muzzle device is pinned and welded. That detail has a big impact on future suppressor plans, gunsmithing flexibility, and accessory changes.

Which Daniel Defense rifle should I choose for home defense and occasional competition?

For a dual-role rifle, prioritize reliability, recoil control, weight, and rail space. A lighter setup is easier to move with, while a slightly heavier front end can feel steadier during fast strings. The best choice is usually the rifle that balances maneuverability with the accessories you actually plan to run.

Who is the Daniel Defense PCC designed for?

The DD PCC was developed for competitive shooters, recreational enthusiasts, and professional users seeking a compact, capable, premium 9mm platform.

Is the Daniel Defense PCC customizable?

The PCC does not require a gas block because it uitilizes a direct blow back operating system.

Why does the DD PCC use a cold hammer-forged barrel?

A cold hammer-forged barrel helps support long-term durability, consistent accuracy, and the premium performance expected from Daniel Defense firearms.

Does the Daniel Defense PCC include ambidextrous controls?

Yes. The PCC features an ambidextrous charging handle, selector, magazine release, and bolt catch for natural, efficient operation from either side.

What is the difference between the DD5P and other DD5 models?

The DD5P is the compact AR10 pistol, shorter-barreled member of the DD5 family. It is geared toward shooters who want the DD5 operating system in a handier package, while the V3, V4, and V5 models move progressively toward longer-barreled general-purpose and longer-range roles.

These iron sights are by far the best sights i have ever used. I bought a set for my DDM4 and they have held zero for over 1500 rounds, riding in the trunk, the back seat, through the woods on the 4 wheeler and in/out of the safe. Glad they're back in stock in time to get some more for the others. Thanks DD yall are the Best.

I bought this second set of DD sights for use on a KSG shotgun. I do not see the need for a Dot-Optic on a shotgun. Just my .02. I have had my first set (using the rear only) on a pretty standard AR with an A2 sight post. I have never had to adjust it, not even out of the box. This rifle is my oldest AR and is not babied at all. Although I have a few AR platforms, this is my only non-optic AR and it is nice to hone your skills with irons. This set went on and locked up tight on the rail of the KSG. Using a 12ga bore site they were dead on again right out of the box. A few clicks on the front post (for 25yd zero) and we're good to go. Great job Daniel Defense. I have no doubt that with slugs and 00 Buck pounding these around they will hold zero.
As a side note, I do not see a need for elevation adjustment on the rear sight as others have mentioned? Just adjust the front post?

Bought these off DD for my DD MK18. Got them as a back up to my Eotech and their working great so far. Their rock solid on the rail and I got them at about 20 in/lb. They been holding a tight zero. So, I'll continue to get these every time I set up a new rifle which is always DD since they kick a**. Thanks guys.

Great set of sights! Installed easily and feel rock solid! The only issue I have is what torque value to use on them. I don't want to damage the rails or the sights. Other than that I am very happy with them.

What's not to like. Not plastic, fit perfect and co witnessed with the Remeo5. I do not understand the "cannot adjust the height" comments. Maybe Daniel Defense needs to explain the features better.
