***It's an exceptional rifle, thank you DD for taking the time for making such a one off product!
YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT…The best feeling, balanced, and versatile compact Ar-15 I’ve ever touched or operated. Flawless!!!!
Best AR15I own three Daniel defense rifles, the MK18 included. The MK18 is the best dependable, accurate rifle/s.b.r I've ever shot or owned. I own LWRC, POF, Maxim, and other high end AR's, and the MK18 is my go-to for SHTF/going to war rifle, as well as my personal home defense weapon. It serves as a long distance rifle as well as a short PDW, like the maxim defense PDX. The PDX is close to 19 inches long collapsed, and if you throw a Law Tactical folder adapter on the MK18, it'll be right at 20 & 3/4 inches. So you'll have almost the same length PDW style weapon as the PDX, but the reliability of the MK18 and much more accurate because of the 10.3 inch barrel instead of the 5.5 inch barrel on the PDX. SORRY to make this so long, but the Daniel defense as a brand is #1, and the MK18 is my #1 go-to rifle! Best ever!
MK18 is the way to goI have a mk18 suppressed and for me being a military vet it rivals Knights Armament for a much lower price. I rate it over any LWRC. I have the Milspec + and it’s upgraded and all ambi. LWRC doesn’t even come close. Noveske is right up there with Daniel Defense and I own two Noveske SBRs and only take the DD mk18 out now.
My First SBRI`m not an avid shooter; however I do train and shoot more than your average gun guy. I have 2 AR platforms, but I wanted to get an SBR. I did a ton of research and went with the Daniel Defense Mk18. Several factors influenced my decision, and I`m happy with my choice. I was able to find one on sale at my local gun store and decided then and there to “pull the trigger”. I`m glad I did. I`ve put rounds through the gun and haven’t had any issues with it. The gun is far more accurate than I am and reliable to boot. Get one before its too late.
Another DD masterpieceTo make it simple it’s def the a top shelf AR-15 but in my opinion LWRC makes a better buy at this price. But this is still a great weapon and should be lauded for it’s excellence.
The price makes you second guess yourself knowing at almost the same price a LWRC is fully Ambidextrous and feels like step up from the DD rifles and pistols. Still a fine fine weapon
Awesome. Recommend to anyoneI have several DD rifles among others. DD is definitely the best on the market. I started with a V11 Pro and still use it for three gun and range fun. I got an M4A1 and really love it. I like the RIS2 hand guard. The pinned 14.5 barrel was easier to maneuver than the 18 inch and a lot lighter. That being said I thought if 14.5 is good then 10.3 has to be better. I purchased my MK18 and love it. Had to get a tax stamp but who cares. The MK18 lost a little velocity but for what the 5.56 cartridge is I don’t think it makes a difference out to 300. I have used the rifle for home defense, a truck gun, side by side companion, and have even smacked a few coyotes. Forget the cost. If you want the best you have to shell out the cash. Same goes with optics. I have seen some awesome rifles with junk optics, that just doesn’t make since. I have also seen guys running Cheep rifles with very expensive optics. Match your equipment. The MK18 is awesome suppressed.
The Perfect RifleBought one of these with the Geissele trigger upgrade, and muzzle brake upgrade. Couldn't be any happier with what I got. Zeroed at 50 yards in only a few shots and the rifle gets a bunch of attention from everyone at the range. Would definitely recommend for everyone. The quality for this thing is top notch. 10/10
Well worth the moneyI will start off by saying the trigger is not match but will function in any environment. I would be disappointed it DD ran a match trigger in the mk18. I have many Ar s and most have a ton of upgrades. This setup, I will leave as is as I know it will function in any condition s. Yes this is well worth the money. I have many other Range toys but this along with mDD 18 inch are my serious get anything done weapons. So as the last reviewer complained about not having all the fancy stuff that could possibly cost u a malfunction when you really don’t want it. I wouldn’t want anything different in the mk18. The fit and finish is great. And most importantly it runs and you can trust that it will for years.
If I had to grab one it would be this do all weapon. If I had one more it would be my b&t apc9k. Just my 2 cents.
I would highly recommend to anyone looking for not just a 700 dollar range gun.
Love Itfinally got my hands on a MK18 from my local shop and I love it. It ran great, trigger felt really good. On my first trip to the range with it not a single issue with sighting my new optics for it, feeding or firing. It's compact enough to minimize profiling in tight quarters. I'm looking forward to many good times at the range with this new addition to my safe
