DDM4®V7® SLW (DANIEL DEFENSE® DEEP WOODS®)

The Daniel Defense M4 V7 SLW is one of the lightest, fastest-handling rifles available in the DDM4 line-up, tipping the scales at under 6 lbs. Built around a Cold Hammer Forged, 14.5” Lightweight profile barrel, the V7 SLW has an Extended Flash Suppressor which is pinned and welded to reach the NFA required 16” minimum barrel length. The mid-length gas system provides smooth and reliable cycling under any conditions and reduces both perceived recoil and wear on moving parts. A free-floating MFR 13.5 handguard offers incredible weight savings as well as superior cooling, ergonomics, and modularity while maintaining the strength and durability expected from Daniel Defense. With the M-LOK attachment points that run along 7 positions and an uninterrupted 1913 Picatinny rail on top, the V7 SLW has plenty of room for the sights, optics, and accessories the operator may require. The rifle is finished off with the rugged and comfortable Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol Grip.

Not inexpensive but well worth the quality. You get what you pay for.
I bought this rifle for a duty career weapon. I have both SWAT and a long law enforcement career. I have been issued and carried many types of AR platforms. This rifle is the lightest but one of the most accurate rifle I have carried. I have kept it very simple but very functional. Although not inexpensive it is well worth the price.

Critical parts need to be metal
I have to say it. I have a ddm4 v5 that is a few years old. I love it. I’ve held some of your newer models, but the plastic dust covers and safeties just look and feel too chintzy to be on a rifle of this price point that claims to be built rugged enough for a soldier to take to war. I really want aN SLW model, but I can’t get over the annoyance of these cheap parts.

Excellent quality
My first shooting an ar style rifle since being in the military. Very nice quality and workmanship. Fire it out out of the box with no problems. Cleaning and dissembling was ease, I liked having a good case and some accessories. I am getting use to the mil spec trigger, this is the first area to up grade. Dealer, Guns for Less, was very helpful too.
