Details

The DD4 V7 SLW thrives in dynamic shooting environments where agility and maneuverability make all the difference.

At just over six pounds, the V7 SLW trims weight while maintaining rugged reliability. A new flat-front rail reduces bulk while improving suppressor compatibility. The new pinned-and-welded Dead Air Xeno Flash Hider ensures HUB-standard suppressor readiness. The rifle also incorporates a new fully ambidextrous lower for true bilateral control and an upgraded three-piece trigger with advanced coating for a smoother, more consistent pull. The 14.5" lightweight-profile cold hammer forged barrel provides excellent handling without compromising accuracy, while the M-LOK handguard gives shooters versatile sling and accessory mounting options.

  1. A top-notch rifle from one of the best firearm companies on Earth
    Overall
    100%
I've owned a DDm4 V7 SLW for approx. 3 years. I've enjoyed it so much I purchased a 10.3" V7p for which I did applied for a form 4 to create an SBR (during the 'brace' issue). Needless to say, both are superb firearms and have given me much satisfaction. A group of my close friends get together, and we run 'informal' contests to judge accuracy and reliability for our various rifles. Again, no need to explain that both of my DD4's have competed very well in our group. At 100-300 yds, very accurate, sub-MOA on the SLW with my Primary Arms FFP Plx 1-8 scope with the Raptor ACSS reticle. Using a bench rest I'm always at or near the top in the accuracy dept. The DD barrels are fantastic. I did add a Geissele SSA-EX Lightening bow trigger for competition, but the original DD trigger was one of the better Mil Spec triggers I've used.
In terms of overall performance, when using a broad spectrum of ammo, I've never experienced a single FTE or FTF in the entire time I've owned them. My original SLW came with the extended A2 flash hider, and I found that a Griffin M4SD-II .556 suppressor mounts to it perfectly. I am very pleased with that combo. DD rifles do come in near the 'high-end' of the spectrum in price, but that's matched by their quality. In short, I recommend the DD brand of firearms strongly and believe that 'you DO get what you pay for'. Worth every cent and I'm past 5k rounds through both the SLW and the V7p. A friend owns a Delta 5 Pro 6.5 Creedmoor, and he's amazed by its accuracy. I can say, with some experience and confidence, that you won't be disappointed with either of these choices or ANY DD products.

  2. DD4 V7 SLW is as good as it gets!!!
    Overall
    100%
The DD4 V7 SLW is super lightweight, sleek and the fit and finish is incredible. The trigger is smooth and crisp, the M-LOK rail has plenty of room for all of my accessories and of course the furniture is superior to most aftermarket brands. On the range the DD4 V7 SLW is a true enjoyment to shoot without worrying about FTF issues and it’s incredible accuracy shot after shot. This can be credited to the quality of the barrel and BCG. THE DD4 V7 SLW is fully ambidextrous making it easier (I would assume) for left handed shooters and for reaching the controls when in less than ideal firing positions. The price is higher than most of the market, but you get your money’s worth and as they say “buy once, cry once”. I have other top tier rifles in the AR platform and Daniel Defense is King when it comes to extremely high quality, dependable rifles.
