Daniel Defense has done for the handgun what we did for the AR-style rifle—taken it to a whole new level. Our revolutionary DANIEL™ H9® combines the ergonomics and pointability of a 1911 with the easy shooting and maintenance of a striker-fired pistol. A low bore axis reduces recoil and muzzle-flip for faster, more accurate follow-up shots. A modular design enables easy customization, and a 1911-style straight-pullback trigger with safety blade provides precision control and safer operation. Customizable, ambidextrous controls deliver superb ergonomics and maneuverability, and an aircraft-grade-aluminum frame keeps things light but extremely durable. Experience the same, legendary, made-in-America quality you expect from Daniel Defense only in a smaller package. Like everything we sell, our new H9® is backed by Daniel’s 100% Satisfaction guarantee.

- Great gun. Need FDE colorwayThis gun is awesome. Rented it at range and it shoots great. Flat, accurate, good with recoil. Initial issues have all been fixed and price is a lot better now. I’m buying one but hoping a FDE colorway drops soon.

- Just ImpressiveBought an early model. Didn’t keyhole as some did but had feed issues with 115gr ball ammo. So I went to 124gr without issues. DD contacted me as to whether my gun qualified for upgrades. Sent them the serial number and it was good; sent it in no charge. About 2 to 3 weeks later I received my gun back without charge. To my surprise it was a new gun; new serial number, new case with mags, new paperwork and new optic plate kit. Who does this?? Very competent firearm, impressed with both product and company.

- Extremely pleased!I've owned/shot hundreds of handguns in my 5 decades of shooting and this is the first one that I wouldn't change 1 single thing about it. It's perfect (Gen 2 model)

- Incredible pistol!I wanted an H9 from the first time I saw them, when DD released this perfected model I had to get one. Its absolutely amazing! The ergonomics are perfect, the low bore axis really performs for follow up shots! The pistol fits so comfortably in the hand and points so well its mind blowing, the Daniel H9 became my new EDC pistol immediately! Became my favorite carry pistol almost instantaneously!

- Best on the marketAlthough the price is high, you get what you pay for. This gun is top notch when it comes to comfort and accuracy. This h9 was beautifully made and would easily recommend this gun to anyone looking for a reliable handgun. The h9 handles recoil so well. The ergonomics of this gun has made me fall in love with it. Thank you so much DD.

- Shockingly good!I purchased on impulse. I got the second gen of these from DD. New recoil spring, barrel, and trigger. This is now my favorite pistol to shoot! My shadow 2 and canik rival s are marginally better, but there is just something so perfect about this gun that keeps me coming back to it when I head to the range. It is extremely accurate! My groups with a red dot are 2" at 25 yards! And I'm not an expert marksman. I would highly recommend anyone to try the 2nd gen version of the H9. Trust me, they got the problems worked out! I'll be ordering a second one soon. I have about 2500 rounds thru it now without a failure.

- I want this gun to take off so badI've always dreamed of a modern, reliable, double stack, striker fired pistol with a 1911 grip and trigger. The Daniel H9 is pretty much that. Ergonomics are supreme. My trigger feels like a GI 1911 trigger out of the box which is great for a striker gun. The only thing I didn't like was the sights which I had replaced with Ameriglo trooper sights.
I want this gun to take off so badly so Daniel Defense offers more options. Ideally, I would love to see a full size version released with a 5 inch barrel and a slightly longer grip and 17 round magazine. A full size combat pistol version, not a competition version. I'd buy it immediately.
All we need after that are safariland holsters.
Also props to Daniel Defense for the reasonably priced mags. That was huge selling point for me.Posted on
- A proficient multi tool!Running it for the bedside, conceal carry, range officer duty, target and steel shooting competitions. It’s held up and fills each role well. It’s reliable, fast and turns heads. Came with 3 mags and that’s important when spending this much on a gun. Only complaint is that the finish seems bare minimum like a mil-spec AR receiver. Could definitely use a cerakote job which I assume would increase the price.
