Our 18” MK12 barrel, chambered in 5.56mm NATO, is known for its use by US Special Operations. It’s constructed from a proprietary Stainless Steel blend with the chamber created during the Cold Hammer Forging process, which ensures the most precise alignment of the chamber to the bore possible. These barrels, some of the most accurate and durable barrels attainable, are DLC finished. The MK12 barrel is engineered with a rifle length direct impingement gas system and is a solid choice for your AR-15 Build.

- Balanced and accurateThe profile of this barrel distributes the weight nicely and is a great compromise between a true heavy barrel and a govt profile. With my lightweight build I was worried that it would feel front heavy, but it is balanced right under the barrel nut. The fit and finish are great as well.
So far I’ve only had time to shoot it on a day with an awful gusty crosswind but with my 77gr hand loads out of my first ten rounds I was at .9 MOA. The pattern was stringing in a tight line in the direction of the crosswind though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it is closer to a half on a calm day.
Not that my other barrels from other manufacturers were bad, but I can see you get what you pay for with DD. Very happy with the results.Posted on
- Great barrelI used this in a MK12 Mod1 clone build. I use Blackhills 77gr ammo that was designed for this barrel. I will say that using the clone correct flashsuppresor and suppressor collar fits perfectly. The barrel is solid and perfectly machined. I am still in the process or zeroing my rifle but I am certain that it will shoot sub MOA. I wish DD made this exact barrel profile for every length rifle. Especially 10.5 and 11.5. Buy this and build with confidence. Its an amazing barrel.
